Why you applied?

We are a small charity and needed to identify funding sources to help us carry out restoration work on the pond on our amenity and wildlife site at Underway Meade. The Coreus Fundation was recommended to us as a grant awarding source which was interested in small, local environmental projects.

How has the grant made an impact?

Whilst our project has unfortunately been delayed, due to the wet winter/ spring of 2025/6, knowing that we have funds available to support our work has been invaluable as we approach autumn 2026 when the pond restoration work will finally begin. It has been very helpful that The Coreus Foundation have been flexible wiith regards the timing of our project which, being reliant on the weather, has taken longer than we anticipated.
