Why you applied?

We applied for the grant to enable us to bring together schools and their local communities in East Exeter to ignite discussions about how we could work together to ensure all children live their best life in the east of the city. We wanted to establish a new community partnership that worked together in solution-focussed ways, as there wasn't a network of space like this that existed.

How has the grant made an impact?

Without the grant, we wouldn't have been able to host the gatherings. The funding enabled us to pay for important elements like travel costs, thank you gift vouchers for community members and, most importantly, tea, coffee and snacks! We were able to host three initial meetings in the summer of 2025, where we met with interested community members and organisations. We identified what we loved about the area, the challenges that children and young people face and how we might be able to start working together as a partnership. We all agreed that this partnership was needed, and that we would formalise the group and continue to work together. We are so excited to see how this work develops - thank you Coreus for supporting this important, early-stage work!
