The donations we made and their impact!
"This funding from the Coreus Foundation meant that we not only were able to purchase 200 saplings but also the tree guards and mulch mats needed to protect them as they grow. As they mature, the trees will help tackle climate change by sequestering carbon, provide new homes for wildlife, and help absorb heavy rain to stop local flooding. At the same time, our volunteers not only contributed hugely but also benefitted from the work. 92% said tree planting helped their physical or mental health, and 79% said they learned new skills or knowledge."
"The Makaton course will ultimately help children with learning difficulties by training people working with them in the basics of Makaton, but it also helps with basic communication skills for younger children. The course will train 15 childcare staff or volunteers in the use of Makaton. In turn reaching around 450 children. In a recent SCOPE report it suggested that 62% of parents with a disabled child were unable to access childcare services in their local area. Nearly half the people living in poverty in 2019 were families where one member has a disability."

"Thanks to the generosity of the Coreus Foundation, and that of others, we have now raised £3.7 million towards our £5 million target. This means we have reached a significant milestone in our Children’s Appeal and have started the refurbishment of Nicholls Ward, which supported more than 2,300 children and young people last year. "
"The support from The Coreus Foundation has helped Little Harbour hospice provide care, comfort and rest for a child, their siblings and parents. Little Harbour cares for children and families from across Cornwall and Plymouth. A typical day at the hospice for families gives full use of the hospice facilities, including our family areas, catered communal kitchen, the sensory room, soft play area, games room, music room, messy play area, as well as an accessible sensory garden and play areas. "
"Enabling all children, regardless of socio-economic status - to be able to access a site to Eden Project in Cornwall to supplement their in-class learning. 45% of the school populace is entitled to Pupil Premium funding which means household money is extremely limited and experiences beyond home/school are minimal."
Children's Scrap Store
"The activity packs have proved a great way of supporting disadvantaged children and is especially important at Christmas, which can be an expensive time of the year. Some feedback from recipients shows that these boxes were put under Xmas trees so children at least has something to open on Christmas day."
Spencer Dayman Meningitis Research
"It is estimated there are 245,000 cases of sepsis and approximately 48,000 deaths in the UK each year, in addition to infections that cause meningitis. We are very grateful to the Coreus Foundation for there belief in this pioneering preventative research project."

"We are so grateful to the Coreus Foundation for their support with the establishment of the East Exeter Community Partnership. This funding enabled us to facilitate a series of community gatherings, where we established the need and support for a new community partnership focusing on children and young people in the east of the city. Mill Water School
"We effectively utilised the funds from this grant to create an inclusive and engaging Chinese New Year celebration week tailored specifically for our pupils who have complex, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties. This thoughtfully designed week featured a range of activities that catered to diverse abilities and learning styles. In the craft sessions, pupils participated in hands-on activities where they could create traditional decorations including Chinese dragon puppets and art lanterns, fostering creativity and fine motor skills while learning about their significance."
